We have a signed contract, at least. The owners let their realtor know the night they signed our contract that, oh by the way, they have a business loan and they used the house as collateral. They are closing the business and might default on the loan...is that a problem? Uh yeah! This week the owners are settling their debt with the bank. This could mean three things: 1) the owners don't owe anything to the bank or settle for pennies on the dollar and we buy the house 2) the bank seizes the property because they defaulted on the loan and sells us the house according to our contract or 3) the bank revokes our contract and puts the house on the market for a higher price for a short sale.
We won't know anything until Friday or Monday. We're not worried. It's our house if God wants it to be. We're open to looking at other houses if they come on the market, just in case.

exciting!!! i can't wait to see it!
Hey Cynthia!
I am excited to hear how the house situation is going. Kyle and I are praying that the market for leasing in the Milwood neighborhood will still be good come December!! I hear you are using Britt to help you house hunt. We asked him to help us as well and are eager to see what comes up :) It would be neat if we end up being closer neighbors along with Morgan!
See you tonight at small group, unless this baby finally decides to come!!
Oh by the way, love your blogspot :)
Praying for you guys! Glad you aren't anxious about it, as you have seen, God works things out so perfectly for His children! :) I love your posts, it really helps to hear about the ups and downs of being a new mommy!
