The Newest Member of our Living Room Family

I would like to introduce you to the newest member of our Living Room - our new (gently used - thank you Craig's List!) light green Ikea love seat! We picked it up last night, battling 5:00 traffic on 3 major freeways. It was surely worth all the time and effort.

A note to the new kid around the coffee table from your new parents - We have been eyeing you for the past four years, but never felt right abandoning our first couch - the free floral monstrosity that served me well through singleness and marriage for six years. Even with a couch cover over it, it just doesn't feel at home. While we are ready to bid it ado and completely unabashedly enjoy you - we must wait until we can secure your future mate - a matching sofa from Ikea (or Craig's List to be more precise). We think you and the flower power couch will get along just fine until that fateful day, but please don't rub it in her face that we like you more and that quite frankly we think you are beautiful and are everything we hoped you would be.

To all our friends to who live close, we look forward to showing off our newest beauty when you come over. But, please realize that this love seat is reserved for our bottoms, so if you want to sit there, you'll have to beat us to it!

I guess for Erin's shower this weekend, she can be guaranteed a spot. Then the other spot has to be reserved for me. After all, this is technically our new baby. Separation anxiety, you know!
